MASW

In MASW technique Rayleigh surface waves which propagate within the investigated medium are analyzed: the resulting seismic recordings are used to calculate the dispersion curves (changes of phase velocity as a function of frequency); then proceed to the inversion of such curves in 1D/2D-models.

Application

Linear infrastructures construction
Engineering geophysics
Reservoir geology

Equipment

  • Seismic equipment by Geometrics
  • AWD (Accelerated Weight Drop) shock wave source P and S
