Seismic reflection

Seismic reflection is the study of the propagation of seismic waves. Seismic waves caused by dynamite shock or vibration are propagated into the Earth and on their way come across boundaries of geological layers, which have different acoustic impedance - give rise to secondary seismic waves that are recorded on the surface of the Earth.

Application

Petroleum geology
Drinking, mineral andthermal water
Reservoirgeology
Deepgeological survey

Equipment

  • Wireless data aquistion system by Wireless Seismic Inc.
